THE PROCESS
Purchase to Production
Innovate Stones will need a layout of your kitchen. Customers will select the slab at our beautiful showroom and warehouse. Once we have received your deposit, your countertop project goes through the production steps of template and measurement, fabrication, tear out, and installation.
Template and Measurement
Template and measurement usually take from 10 minutes to a couple of hours. In the template, we will either measure your cabinets (Usually for straight pieces) Or we make a pattern of your cabinets out of 2 1/2" strips of wood. During this phase:
All sinks/cooktops/faucets are checked for compatibility and fit therefore all such units must be on-site at template.
Overhang, general support, and any personal preferences are discussed.
Seams: minimum seams or no seams or specific seam placement will affect the final price.
Sink
During installation, your under-mount sink(s), if applicable, will be mounted under your stone. We ask that you do not plumb in or use the sink in any way for at least 24 hours. Please keep this in mind when scheduling your plumber to reconnect the water and drain. Also, cooktops and faucets, etc.
Project Information
Below is a list of information we will ask for before the production process. We prefer to obtain all of this information/material at the time of the template.
Sinks: We will bring under-mount sinks back to the shop.
Cooktop cutout dimensions
Edge preference
Tear Out
If your project requires that we tear out and remove your existing countertops, we will do so at the time of installation. A fee may apply of $450
Installation
We recommend the drawers be removed. Items under the cooktop and sink cabinet must be removed to allow access. Some dust can result even though our installers are equipped to catch the majority of it. The granite is sealed at the time of installation.
Job Completion
Your inspection of the finished job is very important. The lead installer will review the installation with you, answer any questions you may have, and ask for payment of the final balance due for your project. The final payment must be in the form of Cash, check, credit card, or Certified Check.
